Odd as it sounds, today is National Dog Biscuit Day. This national holiday was enacted in 1841 after the untimely death of our shortest term President, William Henry Harrison. A now debunked Constitutional mandate that stated whoever was closest to a President when he died became President-by-Proxy until a replacement was selected. In this case, it was Harrison's dog, Charlemagne, that won the honor for approximately 14 minutes. In this time, Charlemagne was able to instate one national holiday, National Dog Biscuit Day... And while none of this is true, it's probably far more interesting than the real reason. Today we've selected, Biscuit Goes to School, by Alyssa Satin Capucilli.
